Organic Lawn Care

Our Organic Lawn Care Program greens up the lawn in spring and gently feeds it all season long with 100% organic lawn food. It will not fully control crabgrass, dandelions and other weeds from germinating. Organic Lawn Care can take 3-5 years to develop a full lush lawn. With this program you have to understand that weeds will be present in your lawn.

Blended Lawn Care

Our Blended Lawn Care Program is a mix of two synthetic fertilizers and three organic lawn food applications. This program is designed to help control weeds in the spring from germinating and then transition into organic feeding in the summer and fall months. This is our most popular lawn care program that we offer.

Synthetic Lawn Care

Our Synthetic Lawn Care Program consists of 5 or 6 total applications depending on weather conditions. This is a traditional lawn care program that utilizes synthetic materials. You must stay off the lawn for 24 hours after we apply.

Core Aeration

What is Core Aeration?

Core aeration, extracts cores of soil, thatch and grass from the surface of the lawn. This is done in order to increase nutrient availability, water penetration, soil air exchange and reduce compaction. All of these benefits lead to a healthier lawn.

You should see relatively large amounts of “plugs” laying on the top of the lawn. This is normal, so don’t be alarmed. These cores will begin to break down and filter back into the lawn, aid in the thatch decomposition process. Through rainfall and mowing practices these cores will break down over a two-week span.

Please continue to aerate your lawn each fall, to help your lawn stay as healthy as possible.

Mowing Tips

The principles of lawn mowing are simple:

Sharpen mower blades after 10 hours of mowing. Dull blades rip the grass, creating jagged edges that lose water and invite disease.

A mowing height between 2.5 to 3 inches is best for most of the season, except during summer stresses when the lawn mowing height should be raised one-half inch to mow at 3 to 3.5 inches. Raising the mowing height provides more insulation from summer heat and reduces water
loss from your soil.

It is essential that we all work together as a team to have a successful lawn care program. (Landscaper, Homeowner, Grow Natural Lawn Care)

Watering Tips

Wise watering tips for effective lawn care:

1. How much?

The goal is to moisten as much of the root zone as possible. To be sure you are watering the right amount, place an empty tuna can in the area where you are sprinkling. When there is about an inch of water in the can, that’s the amount of time you should be watering. Generally, it takes 15 to 30 minutes, depending on your sprinklers.

2. When?

The best time to water is between 4am-8am in the morning. Mornings are best for disease avoidance and to prevent heat stress during hot temperatures. You can water for 5-10min midday to cool off the turf on the hottest summer days.

3. How often?

Deep and infrequent watering promotes good root growth and overall resourcefulness. Whereas, watering daily makes grass weak, more vulnerable to disease, and the weeds and moss love it. Water deeply every other day for the best results during the summer months.
